An attempted assassination of First Minister Shakaar is foiled by Commander Ambrose and his team. Meanwhile, Lt “Kas” and the awayteam attempt to rescue Kasidy Yates-Sisko, as the Europa’s crew unravel the sinister plot to drive the Federation from Bajor.

Tensions rise on Deep Space Nine as Commander Aurani Ambrose and his team continue their investigations. The Europa gets word that the wife of Captain Benjamin Sisko, and expectant mother of the Child of the Emissary of the Prohpets, Kasidy Yates-Sisko, has been taken captive by the dissidents on Bajor.

The Dominion War is over. Bajor stands on the verge of joining the Federation. But in recent months, First Minister, Shakaar Edon, has seeming lost faith in the negotiations. As unrest grows on Bajor, the USS Europa is launched on her Maiden Voyage to pick up the last of her crew, and try to settle the unease on Deep Space Nine.
